I’m Bear, the founder of Salakaia’s Threadz.

I was raised in Lebanon, Oregon, and my work is rooted in community, culture, and purpose. I started Salakaia’s Threadz to honor my grandfather, Salakaia, and to create long-term sustainability for the youth programs at Weaving Fala.

Proceeds from every purchase go directly toward supporting Weaving Fala’s Level Up youth leadership programs, which are designed to uplift and empower the next generation. Through culturally grounded mentorship, creative expression, and real-world skill-building, these programs help young people grow into confident, connected leaders who are proud of who they are and where they come from.
